THERE is no book anywhere that can compare with the Bible. Forty different writers were used—some were kings， prophets， priests， leaders， doctors， fishermen or shepherds. They wrote over a period of 1，600 years.

It is unique. It is the WORD OF GOD.

任何地方没有哪本书能和圣经相比。作者由四十位不同身份的人组成—有些是国王、先知、祭司、领袖、医生，渔夫或牧人。他们在1，600年的时间里写成。

"Above all， you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man， but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."     (2 Peter 1：20，21)

The Bible is no ordinary book; it does not contain man's ideas. It is God speak­ing to us. Start to read the Bible， today.

WHY READ THE BIBLE?

为什么要阅读圣经呢？

 

Only from the Bible can we find out what God is like. Read these few verses. You are listening to God talking to you.

只有在圣经里我们才能找到神的模样。阅读下面的经文。你就在聆听神对你说的话。

"You are kind and forgiving， O Lord， abounding in love to all who call to you."(Psalm 86：5)

"And God saw all that he had made， and it was very good." (Genesis 1：31)

“The highest heavens belong to the Lord， but the earth he has given to man."(Psalm 115：16)

"You shall have no other gods before me." (Exodus 20：3)

"The face of the Lord is against those who do evil， to cut off the memory of them from the earth."  (Psalm 34：16)

How many facts has God told you about Himself in these verses?

“主啊，你本为良善，乐意饶恕人，有丰盛的慈爱赐给凡求告你的人”(诗篇86：5)。

“神看着一切所造的都甚好”(创世记1：31)。

“天，是耶和华的天；地，他却给了世人”(诗篇115：16)。

“除了我以外，你不可有别的神”(出埃及记20：3)。

“耶和华向行恶的人变脸，要从世上除灭他们的名号” (诗篇34：16)。

THE BIBLE GIVES US A PURPOSE TO OUR LIVES

圣经给了我们生活的目的

 

As we read we are listening to God. We are learning what God wants us to do. We are learning how to make every day worthwhile.

我们阅读圣经就等于在听神说话。我们就知道神要我们做什么事情。我们就学会了如何使每天的生活更有价值。

“Your word is a lamp to my feet."(Psalm 119：105)

“你的话是我脚前的灯”(诗篇119：105)。

"What does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God， to walk in all his ways， to love him， to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul， and to observe the Lord's commandments and decrees ... for your own good?" (Deuteronomy 10：12，13)

“以色列啊，现在耶和华你神向你所要的是什么呢？只要你敬畏耶和华你的神，遵行他的道，爱他，尽心尽性侍奉他，遵守他的诫命律例，就是我今日所吩咐你的，为要叫你得福” (申命记10：12，13)。

We ask God to help us each day.

我们每天都求神帮助我们。

"... lead us not into temptation， but deliver us from evil."     (Matthew 6：13)

“...不叫我们遇见试探；救我们脱离凶恶” (马太福音6：13)

THE BIBLE ALWAYS GIVES THE SAME MESSAGE

圣经始终给出同样的信息

 

As you read a little of the Bible every day you will see that God wants us to obey Him.

我们每天读一点圣经，就明白神要我们顺从他。

In the Old Testament we have the guidelines in Exodus 20：1-17， often called the Ten Commandments. Similar guidelines are found in the New Testa­ment too， for example in Matthew 5：21-48.

旧约圣经里有我们的行为指南，它写在出埃及记20：1-17里，这些指南常常被称为十诫。同样的指南也见于新约圣经，如马太福音5：21-48。

To please God we try to keep to these guidelines. As you read more about the lives of the people in the Bible， you see that they find it hard always to obey God.

为了取悦神，我们必须遵循这些指南。当你更多地阅读圣经里的人物生活时，你就会发现他们很难始终如一地服从神。

Jesus， God's Son， was the only per­son to obey God in every way. Jesus understood the same message. He remembered：

神的儿子耶稣是惟一各方面都能顺从神的人。耶稣理解同样的信息。他记得：

"Man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord."(Deuteronomy 8：3)

“人活着不是单靠食物，乃是靠耶和华口里所出的一切话”(申命记8：3)。

"Fear the Lord your God， serve him only."        (Deuteronomy 6：13)

“你要敬畏耶和华你的神，侍奉他”(申命记6：13)。

PAST HISTORY SHOWS THAT THE BIBLE IS RELIABLE

过去的历史表明圣经是可靠的

 

Jesus looked back at the prophecies about himself：

耶稣回顾关于自己的预言：

"And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets， he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures con­ cerning himself."                 (Luke 24：27)

“从摩西和众先知起，凡经上所指着自己的话都给他们讲解明白了”(路加福音24：27)。

All of these were fulfilled. Here are some other examples of Bible prophecies which have proved to be true：

所有这些都实现了。下面一些圣经预言的例子被证明是正确的：

•       Look at Jeremiah 51：37 and  Isaiah chapters   13  and   14. What was to happen to Babylon?—it did happen.

•       Read Ezekiel 26：4， 5，  12，  14. What would happen to the city of Tyre? This is another prophecy which has been
fulfilled.

•       请看耶利米书 51：37和以赛亚书第13章和14章。巴比伦要发生什么事情呢？—它确实发生了。

•       请看以西结书 26：4， 5，12，14。推罗市要发生什么事情呢？这是另一个已经实现的预言。

Deuteronomy 28：64，65 tells us about the people of Israel. They would be sent to every part of the world. Sure enough，  the  people  of  Israel，  the　Jews，  are to  be found  everywhere today.

申命记28：64，65给我们讲述了以色列民。他们要被分散到世界各地。毫无疑问，以色列的百姓，犹太人今天在世界各地随处可见。

•       God said that He would  bring the Jews back to Israel： "I will... restore them to the land I gave to their fore fathers to possess" (Jeremiah 30：3). Today we can see the Jews in their own land—another prophecy fulfilled.

•       神会让犹太人返回以色列：“我也要使他们回到我所赐给他们列祖之地，他们就得这地为业”（耶利米书 30：3）。今天我们可以在他们自己的地上见到犹太人—另一个预言被实现了。

The Bible does not just tell us of the past， it also tells us of the future. We know that what it said in the past really hap­pened. Bible prophecies were fulfilled. So we can confidently believe what God says about the future.

圣经不仅仅告诉我们过去，它还告诉我们未来。我们知道过去说的事情确实发生了。圣经预言实现了。所以，我们坚定地相信神对未来的说法。

God never lies. He tells us about real places， real people and the nations of today. The Bible is true!

神从不撒谎。他给我们讲述了真实的地方，真实的百姓，还有真实的国家。圣经是正确的！

 

THE BIBLE TELLS OF FUTURE EVENTS

圣经对未来事件的列表

 

God tells us that these things will happen：

神告诉我们这些事情要发生：

•       He will not allow a wicked world to continue for ever.   (2 Peter 3：10)

•       He will send His Son， Jesus Christ， back to the earth to judge mankind.(Acts 17：31)

•       He will make Jesus the king of the whole world.           (Psalm 2)

•       All   who  oppose  the   king   will   be destroyed.(2 Thessalonians 1：8)

•   All who become followers of Jesus and wait for his coming will be saved and given a place in God's Kingdom.(Romans 2：6)

•   It will be a kingdom of peace and happiness with plenty of food for all. (Psalm 72)

•       他不允许邪恶的世界永远继续下去(彼得后书 3：10)。

•       他会差遣他的儿子耶稣基督返回到地球上来审判人类(使徒行传17：31)。

•       他要让耶稣做全人类的王(诗篇 2)。

•       一切反对王的人都要被毁灭(帖撒罗尼亚后书1：8)。

•   所有做了基督信徒并等待他回来的人都能得救，在神的国里得到一个位置(罗马书2：6)。

•   那将是一个和平的国和幸福的国，大家都丰衣足食(诗篇72)。

Only the Bible tells you of all these things and of God's great plan for the earth.

只有圣经才告诉我们所有这些事情，告诉我们神对地球的伟大计划。

Read the Bible today for yourself to find out more about your future. In it you can find how you can have a share in the peace and blessings of the kingdom of God. You can be there. Pray that God will guide you as you read and learn.
